Copyright Policy

1. Our Commitment

Stembl respects intellectual property rights. We respond to valid copyright complaints in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

2. Filing a Takedown Request

If you believe content on Stembl infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@stembl.com containing:

  • Your name and contact information
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
  • The URL or specific location of the infringing material on Stembl
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

3. What Happens Next

Upon receiving a valid takedown notice:

  • We will remove or disable access to the material promptly
  • We will notify the user who posted the content
  • We will provide the user with a copy of the takedown notice

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may file a counter-notification to legal@stembl.com containing:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or Delaware if outside the US)
  • Your physical or electronic signature

After receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the content.

5. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Multiple valid takedown notices against the same account will result in permanent account termination.
